1) Simple Homemade Black Salve:

May we suggest you read these instructions from beginning to the end before proceeding. Accuracy is important in obtaining an effective medicine.The actual recipe may require several days to complete.

Ingredients: (measurements by weight,not volume).

25% galangal root (dried)
25% blood root (dried)
50% Zinc chloride (dry)

Additional needs:

Uncovered glass bowl of adequate size.
pH paper.
May possibly need rice flour, if desired, to thicken mixture.
Root grinder, possibly a coffee grinder or something similar.
Large wooden spoon.
Distilled water
A clean-air and dry place to work.

Preparation Instructions for Homemade Black Salve:

1) Grind the roots, either together or separately, with care not to heat them past 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius). But don't grind them until needed, keeping them sealed and dry to guard potency.

2) Put the zinc chloride in an open glass bowl (do not use a metal or enamel bowl). Add a tiny amount of distilled water for ease in blending, if needed.

3) Slowly blend the roots into the zinc, using a wooden spoon, stir thoroughly. It's better to slowly add the powdered roots to the zinc, rather than the zinc to the roots.

The zinc will heat as it oxidizes, slighty cooking the roots, allowing the alkaloids to release and blend into the solution.

Allow it to liquefy (oxidize) uncovered (perhaps by a clean cloth for air flow if needed). In a hot and humid climate, zinc chloride will liquefy faster. In dry and cold climates, it may take up to 5 days. The addition of distilled water will hasten the process. Try not to add water if you don't need the medicine quickly. It works best if made to resemble the consistency of toothpaste.

4) Check the pH of the mixture, it should range between 3.7 and 3.8. Add more powdered root, in equal measure, to achieve this range, serving also the thicken the mixture.

5) Place small amounts of the completed mixture in small glass or cosmetic-type jars. These jars should obscure light and seal air completely. Never use metal containers or utensils.

6) We recommend the Salve be refrigerated if kept for long term storage, especially in hot climates.

"Black salve, also known as drawing salve, is a corrosive herbal paste that's applied to the skin over tumors, skin tags, moles and infections. It has also been applied on the skin over internal tumor sites to “draw out” the cancer."

The original Native American form of Salve was actually made from blood root (sanguinaria canadensis) and crushed wood ash, and possibly bone ash too. More recent evolutions are often very different, work differentlyas well. 

Our contention, here at Black Salve Indonesia, is to begin with the basic Black Salve recipe, as listed in the recipe at the top of the page, then add appropriate ingredients as needed.

Other common ingredients include:
chaparral (Larrea tridentata), 
chickweed (Stellaria media), 
Indian tobacco (Lobelia inflata), 
comfrey (Symphytum officinale), 
myrrh (Commiphora myrrha), 
marshmallow (Althaea officinalis), 
mullein (Verbascum thapsus), 
Sodom's apple (Solanum sodomaeum).
Olive oil. Some prefer to add oil as a buffer, especially in the case of parasites of heavy rashes.

2) Black Salve Injectable Solution:

6) Tincture from Yellow Powder/ Compound B,
For use internal and external use:

What you need:

1) Small glass jar with fully-sealable lid (approx 200 ml, perhaps a mustard jar)

2) 100 ml 96% ethyl alchohol. VERY IMPORTANT! DO NOT USE METHYL or WOOD ALCOHOL, like from the drug store. You must use alcohol that can be consumed orally, such as very stong vodka, is 96% ethyl alchohol cannot be found.

3) 1 level teaspoon of Yellow Powder/ Compound B.

Put both ingredients as measured, into the jar. Shake the jar several times over two days. After two days, the mixture is ready for use.

Dosage:

Orally: Take a half teaspoon by mouth. Can be taken up to twice daily.
     a) For a stronger dosage, shake the jar before measuring the half-teaspoon dosage.
     b) For a weaker dosage, do not shake the jar, skim the clearer liquid from the top.

7) Making a Poultice:

What you need:

1) Small glass bowl (approx 20 ml, perhaps a very small drinking glass)
2) 10 ml white rice flour.
3) A very small amount of pure or distilled water.
4) Wooden or plastic stir utensil, perhaps a chopstik.
Place the white rice flout in a glass bowl. Slowly add drops of water and stir, to make a medium paste, about the consistency of toothpaste. Stir until all flour is saturated and smooth.

Add one Chinese scoop of the Salve of your choice to the paste and stir until completely mixed. If you see no change in the color, then add another single Chinese scoop and repeat. The color should only be slight blush, only very noticable. If using Traditional Black Salve/ Compound A, the color will be slight gray. With Red Salve/ Compound D, the color will be slightly pinkish yellow. Stir completely.

Application:

Apply the paste evenly and completly covering an area three times larger than the area in question. Let it dry.
If necessary, cover with light gause, but try not to interfere with the poultice. Try to leave it on for several hours, 12 maximum.
Wash off with soap and water. The raised or reddened areas are most likely in need of therapy.

You can apply one Chinese scoop of the Salve of your choice to each of the affected areas, but generally no more than three areas at a time should receive therapy. See the Techniques page for complete application information.

Black, Red, and Brown Salvse, and Yellow Powders B and C Dosages: Two stages:

1) ORAL THERAPY (Please see the 25 Day Plan section:

Generally speaking, we use Yellow Powder/ Compounds B or C during the first day or two of oral therapy. This serves to greatly activate the immune system, and to flush toxins from the body. Oral B or C is gentler on the system, and can either be taken in powder form (30 to 60 micro liters = one or two Chinese Scoops in a gelatin capsule), or in tincture form (1/2 teapspoon). Then on day three, substitute one or two scoops of Compounds A, D, or E (30 to 60 micro liters = one or two Chinese scoops in a capsule).

If reactions are coming-on too fast or severe, the user can return to the Yellow Powder for a day or two, then later resume with Compounds A, D, or E until the end of the 25 Day Course. Once the 25 Day Course is begun, the user should strive to follow through to completion. Moderating the effects with the substitution of Yellow Powder can help. Seasoned users of Black Salve may want to begin the Oral 25 Day Course with the Salves, rather than the Powders, on the first day.

The key is to get a reaction, such as vomiting, diarrhea, skin elimination, sweats, etc. Generally speaking, the sooner the reaction, the more severe the infection. Many people who have taken the various forms of Black Salve may not have much of a reaction to internal use of the salves.

2) TOPICAL THERAPY - to be taken concurrently with Oral Therapy/ 25 Day Plan, above: (Please see the Techniques Section).

First day:
Make a poltice to cover the extended area in question. Keep the poultice on the area for at least several hours. Wash off with soap and water. The raised or reddened areas are most likely in need of therapy.

Second Day:
a) Apply a tincture of yellow powder to the extended area. Let it dry. You can do this is often as you like, on a daily basis.

b) Using a very fine needle (perhaps one similar to those used in acupuncture, or a very fine sewing needle), poke the central area to be treated several times. Enter one to two millimeters into the skin. This serves to allow faster entry of the medicines, and to indicate, via pain, where there is healthy and unhealthy tissue. Unhealthy tissue, in more advanced stages, will have little or no pain. This is where you apply the salve.

c) Apply one Chinese Scoop of the salve of your choice directly over the needled area. Allow it to dry, then loosly cover.

Third Day:
repeat as on the second day as needed, for succeeding days.

If repeated 25 day treatments are needed, wait 5 days or more before beginning again. Some patients will need to do the course three times to rid themselves completely of virus and disease.

Mucous-forming food and drink, or digestive aids should be avoided, as they can greatly decrease the effects of the medicine. If the reactions are too severe, then simply decrease the dosage, and/or increase food intake, or switch to the Yellow Powder. 

In the event of digestive ailments, one can expect to expel blood, and perhaps tumors or parasites. Loose and voluminous bowel movements are common.

After the Salve has done its job,a healing salves may be desired to heal flesh wounds. It's very important to keep a new wound covered with petrolium jelly, and some form of antibiotic, whether it be natural (goldenseal and comfrey mixture) or a triple-antibiotic creme.
